French giants Toulouse crush Racing 92 to reach Champions Cup quarter-finals
Toulouse produced a clinical display to thrash Racing 92 31-7 and book their place in the Champions Cup quarter-finals.
The five-time champions ran in five tries in a dominant performance at the Stade Ernest-Wallon on Sunday.
Toulouse, who had lost their previous two Champions Cup matches, were never in danger of defeat against a Racing side who were missing several key players due to injury.
The home side took the lead in the 10th minute when winger Matthis Lebel went over in the corner. Thomas Ramos added the conversion and Toulouse never looked back.
Racing managed to reduce the deficit to 10-7 just before half-time when Baptiste Chouzenoux crossed the line. However, Toulouse extended their lead in the second half with tries from Antoine Dupont, Julien Marchand, and Arthur Retiere.
The victory sets up a mouthwatering quarter-final clash between Toulouse and Munster on April 14.
