Brayden El Moussa Disability

Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa's Son Undergoes Surgery for Rare Condition

Brayden James diagnosed with Meckels diverticulum, a congenital disability affecting the small intestine

Emergency surgery performed, child recovering

Christina Haack and her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa revealed that their son, Brayden James, was recently diagnosed with Meckels diverticulum, a rare congenital disability affecting the small intestine. The condition, which occurs in only 2% of the population, caused Brayden severe pain and required emergency surgery.

El Moussa shared a photo on Instagram of Brayden recovering in the hospital, captioning it, "He's thriving in life more than ever and it's because of hard work." Haack expressed her gratitude for the medical team that cared for her son and thanked fans for their support.

Meckels diverticulum is a remnant of a fetal structure that normally disappears before birth. If it persists, it can cause complications such as bleeding, infection, and intestinal obstruction. The surgery performed on Brayden was successful, and he is expected to make a full recovery.

Haack and El Moussa shared the news of their son's diagnosis and surgery on Mother's Day, spending the holiday by his bedside. They urged other parents to be aware of the symptoms of Meckels diverticulum and to seek medical attention if necessary.
